The surface features the audirect logo, the 3.5 AMP switch, output port, and a tiny power indicator on the top left. A small opening houses the input port. The back cover is a standard sliding cover. The battery compartment holds two AAA batteries. The overall design is simple and very compact.
I've also considered this. Perhaps because the chassis needs to be compact, the front panel has to accommodate a dual AAA battery compartment, limiting the internal wiring to the current top and left side design. However, if a larger chassis could be used, unifying the input and output ports at the top or bottom, it would be much more comfortable to hold and secure. Both input and output are 3.5mm single-ended, and with the officially recommended AUX single-crystal copper cable, a quick listen reveals brighter details and a more defined sound, while maintaining overall smoothness without becoming harsh.
